In one of our previous news items, we reported that we had successfully concluded a lease agreement with BUDAMAR for 10 Siemens Vectron MS locomotives. The acquisition of these ten locomotives is related to the increasing growth in transport.
The BUDAMAR Group has teamed up with the Railcolor Design agency to redesign the livery for these locomotives.
The carrier has decided that the new Vectron visuals will be different and is therefore coming up with editions, each of which will be dedicated to a key theme. "We are the architects of transport" is the idea and slogan of the first five locomotives. With this, BUDAMAR would like to express its hope that people who have been divided and alienated by the pandemic will reconnect with each other. This message will be visually represented by bridges and viaducts.
Vectron 383.218 is the first to receive the new livery, depicting the Port Bridge in Bratislava. The livery was completed in one day. The Railcolor Design agency, which took care of the redesign, has already produced a number of iconic and original liveries.
We took delivery of it in Munich on June 20, 2022, and it was transported to Bratislava on June 24, 2022. It was put into service on July 1, 2022.
We handed over the other two Vectrons, numbered 383.216 and 383.217, at the beginning of the year, on March 3, 2022.
The fourth in this series of five is Vectron 383.219. This locomotive has already been manufactured and is currently awaiting delivery in Munich. And the last one is 383.220, which is awaiting manufacture.
