About the company
First of all, you should know that the Austrian banking group Erste was behind the establishment of our company. Financing the railway sector has many specific features. That is why the group established a company that would deal exclusively with this area. Thus, RS Lease was established in 2017, where we deal with the leasing and servicing of locomotives.

Our locomotives transport millions of passengers every year. Mainly as express trains on the Bratislava – Košice and Prague – Uherské Hradište routes.

We usually lease locomotives for a decade. However, everything depends on the specific contract.

We cooperate with ZSSK, ZSSK Cargo, České dráhy, and also with the company BUDAMAR.

RS Lease locomotives operate in several European countries. In addition to Slovakia, they also travel to our neighbors, to the west and to the more distant Balkans.

2017 Partnership with ZSSK
In 2017, we won a public tender and signed a contract with Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko (Slovak Railway Company) to lease 10 Siemens Vectron MS A01 locomotives.

2018 Locomotive for ZSSK Cargo Slovakia
In 2018, we once again won a public tender, thanks to which we signed a contract with the railway company Cargo Slovakia. They leased 10 Siemens Vectron MS A17 locomotives from us.

2019 We drive in Slovakia and around the world
We delivered the last machines to both companies at the beginning of 2019. They are now operating as locomotives for international freight transport and also as express trains on the Bratislava–Košice route.

2020 Cooperation with Czech Railways
In 2020, we participated in a public tender for České dráhy (Czech Railways). After winning the tender, the carrier leased six Siemens Vectron locomotives from us.
